William Bay Cottages offers our guests a place to escape the routine of daily life and unwind in your home away from home nestled among the stunning grounds of this property.
Our cottages are uniquely located next door to the ever popular Greens pool and Elephant Rocks beaches and are situated on a 330 acre working farm adjacent to William Bay National Park.
With your very own private walking track through to Mazzoletti beach as well as many other facilities we invite you to kick back, recharge, and explore the beauty of our unique property and some of Denmark’s best attractions.
Just imagine sitting by the fire or in a spa, on a private balcony or out in amongst nature having a glass of wine with your loved one or with your family and friends. We want you to fully unwind and indulge yourself with some amazing local produce and some of the region’s best wines.
Our range of seven, one, two or three bedroom self-contained cottages have been lovingly handcrafted from locally sourced timber and stone. Perfectly hidden in amongst a magnificent Karri & Peppermint forest to offer total seclusion, we are suited for families, friend’s gatherings or a romantic escape with your loved one.
Each cottage has been tastefully and individually designed and built to ensure you have a unique and memorable stay. Whether it be a fun summer getaway or a relaxing winter escape in front of a toasty log fire, William Bay Cottages is the perfect destination any time of year.
Our Story
Located on a 330 acre property, William Bay Cottages is a small family business that is run by the owners Val Laing, her son Brendan and his wife Haylie.
The property was bought by the Laing family back in 1976 and was used to grow up to 40 acres of potatoes annually and run beef cattle. Kevin and Val took over the property from Kevin’s parents but sustaining a living growing potatoes was becoming hard.
Kevin was also a carpenter that had big dreams and believed that they had a unique property in a beautiful town which suited holiday accommodation so together with his wife Val they decided to build the cottages.

Over the years our small family team has concentrated on maintaining and upgrading the 7 cottages to keep them at the standard they are and keep us at the top of the “Must stay here” list in Denmark.
We are fortunate enough to be a part of this small family business, a legacy left by Kevin that has allowed us to welcome people and families back year after year and become good friends with many. Guests are now bringing their own children to visit as they did with their parents.
Our Philosophy
We live in a frenetic world, where technology is taking up most of our time, making people distant and disconnecting them from real life.
To us, life is experiencing the world with all of our senses. It is about connecting with others in a substantial way.
We see our cottages as a way for people to escape that busy life, leaving the worries behind to relax and reconnect with family, friends and nature.
We offer quality but affordable accommodation in the midst of a tranquil natural environment and we feel privileged to not only have this place, but also to be able to share it with others and offer them a unique experience they can take home and leave them eager to return.
We strongly believe that, by offering this location, together with a good old- fashioned personalised service, our guests are able to truly unwind, disconnect from the daily routine, take a break following nature’s rhythms, reconnect and spend quality time with their loved ones turning moments into lifelong memories.
